Although Father's Day isn't quite as big of an extravaganza as Mother's Day is, we still had a nice one. It was a relaxing day of spending time with family. Landon went into the pool for the first time which was a blast. Our plan was to take Landon out on the boat for the first time, but the weather didn't cooperate. It was so windy that we thought it might be too choppy out there for us. Instead we had a relaxing day and then went up to Auburn for dinner with Shani's family. We then went back to Shani's parents house and swam with cousin Morgan.

4 Months
| 4 months |
Our little guy is 4 months old today! He's continuing to change in so many ways. He is weighing in at 16lbs. He has started to get quite a grip, even holding onto our fingers and pulling himself to a sitting position then to standing.
Although he continues to do his "ahhgoo" and "cooo," he's also incorporated a scream/screech. We are guessing he's learning his voice because this is something that just started. It's quite hilarious. He's also quite the drooler. No teeth buds yet, but they must be brewing because drool is just pouring out.

Landon also had his first stay away from us. We were in Napa for John's post-doc semi-graduation celebration (he's not done until the end of August though). About 18 of us went wine tasting in Napa Valley by limo, then a wonderful catered dinner at his supervisor's house. We decided to make a trip out of it and stayed the night in Napa. Landon stayed with Nonni and Poppa. Although we knew Landon would be fine, Shani was a little anxious. But she had a great time and didn't worry much. We "FaceTime-d" (a ipod app that allowed us to video chat) with Landon Saturday night and then were back to see him Sunday. It was a great trip for us and Landon was definitely well cared for!

Landon finally outgrew his bassinet. He's now officially in his crib (he was just using it for naps). However, the crib was moved (willingly by John) into our room. Shani isn't quite ready to have him in his own room. So as John puts it, "Landon has a really cute changing table room." Yeah, yeah... When he doesn't need to night feed, we'll move him into his own room. Until then, we managed to make room for the crib in our room.

16 weeks
| 100 Days |
Landon is 16 weeks! He's weighing in at 15lbs 10.5oz (that's only 5oz this past week!) and 25.5in long. He's holding strong to those higher percentiles when it comes to weight (75%) and length (80%). We still think his cheeks carry most of the weight. He's such a healthy boy, we are so lucky!
Nothing new really in the last couple of weeks. Our routine of work, work, and more work continues. Landon continues to do well at the office with Shani. He's gets to see a lot of new faces being at work. He definitely loves the time he gets to spend with Nonee as well. Memorial Day weekend he went for his first swim in the spa. He couldn't have cared less! He loves his baths so much, maybe he didn't feel like this was any different. He just relaxed in there and didn't react much. Landon got to hang out with Auntie Kim, Uncle Josh, and cousin Morgan while we went for a date night to the movies. Landon loved the attention he got from his cousin!
Landon will be 4 months next week! Stay tuned for more pictures and hopefully we can get video up soon!

100 Days
Landon is 100 days today! He is now a whopping 15 pounds! We constantly have people reminding us that we need to savor every moment because it goes by so fast. We know we've mentioned many times before, but it's true, time is flying by! We have a couple friends and patients deliver recently and Shani sees these little newborns and doesn't remember Landon ever being that small. The crazy part is, he's been smaller than all of them. We honestly are just blown away by how quickly it all goes by.
These last couple weeks Landon has really started to develop more. He is tracking and recognizing so much more. He rolls over from his stomach to his back like it's nothing. He has more purposeful movements of his hands. He's getting closer to have more of a giggle laugh. He's also started having more conversations (one with his little dog).
Unfortunately, he also got his first cold. He's totally fine, but it's so hard to see this little guy coughing. Sleep has been going pretty well. He usually gets a 5-6 hour chunk, then a 2-3 hour chunk. Shani hopes the second chunk goes to 4-5 hours and she'll feel that more rested. No complaints though, it isn't the every 2 hours like it used to be.

First Mother's Day
We hope everyone had a great Mother's Day. We sure did! Shani's family has celebrated Mother's Day in Yosemite with good friends from all over California every year since she was 4 years old. This year was especially special because she was being celebrated too. She has always looked forward to having a family and to taking part in the tradition as a mom. This year was wonderful!
Our best friends, Kevin and Elaine, also joined us from So Cal with their two boys for the first time. We had a blast! All of us stayed in a motorhome together and actually got good sleep! Every year we go on a hike with Shani's family to a waterfall that's a bit off the beaten path. We took Kev and Elaine on that hike and it was more treacherous than normal due to a recent rock/snow slide. They trusted us (we kind of wonder why too) enough to push through and make it to the top of a waterfall. Yes we had the little boys with us which is what made it scary and hard. But we made it! It meant the world to us that they came along and we couldn't have had more fun. We hope/expect them to join us in the future once they move back from Michigan (sorry guys :-))!

Landon also turned 12 weeks this week and will be 3 months old on Saturday. He is now 14lbs 1oz and 25in long. That's the 70% in weight and 85% for length. He's quite the growing boy and we love it! On Thursday he rolled over for the first time from his stomach to his back. He even went both directions! He's such a sweet and mellow guy. Landon did great camping so we look forward to many more trips in the future. We'll have to see how next year goes as he'll probably be walking. That won't stop us from going though, we'll just have to make sure he stays away from the campfire!
